Important Update for RIFT Players: NA Shard Transfer Ends April 9, 2024

Trion Worlds has announced a significant update for the RIFT community, particularly for players on the North American servers. As of April 9, 2024, at 8 AM UTC, the Hailol, Faeblight, and Seastone shards will cease to be available, coinciding with the game's weekly maintenance schedule. This change necessitates players on these shards to transfer to one of the remaining active shards: Deepwood, Laethys, Greybriar, or Wolfsbane.

Choosing Your New Shard

For players currently adventuring in the worlds of Faeblight, Hailol, or Seastone, it's time to select a new home among the available shards. The recommended options include:

  • Deepwood
  • Laethys
  • Greybriar
  • Wolfsbane

This selection ensures that players can continue their journey in Telara without interruption, albeit on a new shard.

Steps for a Smooth Transition

To assist players in making this transition as seamless as possible, Trion Worlds has outlined a simple process:

  1. Review Your Server: Players on the affected shards should prepare for their move to Greybriar, Wolfsbane, Deepwood, or Laethys.
  2. Transfer Guide: A step-by-step guide is available to help players transfer their characters to another shard. Players are encouraged to follow this guide closely to ensure a successful transfer.
  3. Stay Informed: The RIFT team advises players to regularly check official announcements for any further details or updates regarding the shard transfer process.

Character Transfer Details

To facilitate these transfers, Trion Worlds has lifted the transfer limit for the four destination shards. However, it is recommended to keep the number of characters per shard below 14 to ensure optimal gameplay experience. It's also important to note that the creation of new characters on Hailol, Seastone, and Faeblight has been disabled. Players are urged to act promptly to continue their adventures on one of the designated shards.

This update marks a pivotal moment for the RIFT community, as players bid farewell to the Hailol, Faeblight, and Seastone shards. While change can be daunting, it also brings the community closer together on the remaining shards, fostering new alliances and rivalries. The RIFT team is committed to supporting players throughout this transition, ensuring that the world of Telara remains a vibrant and engaging place for all adventurers. As April 9 approaches, players are encouraged to finalize their transfers and prepare for the next chapter of their RIFT saga.
