Drake Faming Exploit At HK Chronicle

  • Kill everyone in the first hallway and everything int he lower room except the drakes at HK chronicle.
  • Kill the murdantix boss and clear everything in the rooms right behind the boss.
  • Take the portal where the faceless man spawns in the game. This will take you to the start of the level.
  • Speak to the dwarf to finish the chronicle and loot the chest.
  • Walk out of the portal behind you.
  • Reque for the HK Chronicle again.
  • Go down the hallway and kill the 7 normal drakes near by but leave the brood mother alone
  • Click "leave chronicle"
  • Go back in and kill the drakes again.
  • Best part of this is they will instant respawn and you can get the mount which trades pretty well in the AH.
  • Took me about an hour but thats not to bad considering the drops you are getting. Just remember to leave the broodmother alive.

Also, if you do this enough times...for some reason it respawns most of the mobs in the dungeon, including the bosses.

The rune vessel is not there so Murandix is a little harder to solo but he can be killed again, as well as most of the trash from Molinars room.

Molinar and the Prince are respawned, but the portal is still there from where you killed them before, and once you get them to 1 health they don't go any lower. Cant kill them again.

As far as the drakes go, they are duplicated...yup thats right there are 2 in each location for a total of 14 drakes, as well as 2 broodmother bosses standing on top of each other.

if you do the usual and kill the drakes and leave, they'll dupe again, and again. They dont dupe every time you reenter but they do alot. I did this maybe ten times and got them to dupe six times of the ten. Since I didnt think I could handle more than 6 in one pull solo I went ahead and tried to pull one of the broodmother bosses...but of course they all came and I died instantly lol.

Make 1500 Plats Per Day Easily

I know this may be simple and take a while to get started. But, once you get into it and stick with it. You can make anywhere from 100p-400p a day depending on the demand of the server. My highest amount I have made in one day: 1,540 platinum!

What you will need:
(You can do this at any level of these professions, at 300 you make faster platinum.)
300 Outfitter
300 Butcher
300 Runecrafter

27 Artisan Marks for Exotic Leather Belt from the Outfitter Merchant.

Time = Platinum

I normally use a Pyromancer, but Storm Caller works just as well. Any build that is full AoE DPS would work as well.

I pick a spot where it has high mob count/skinnable for leather. For this tut, we will be using Droughtlands and fighting the large Cat mobs in the area that let you skin Exotic Hide.

TIP: Many cats lay in the area North West of Droughtlands in the rocky area. And there are more in the open near the west of Lantern hook.

1) Gather as many Cats as you can and AoE them down. You can usually net anywhere from 10-40 Exotic Hide in 10-15 seconds. (Fill up on as many as you need!)
2) Go back to your Manufactory and process these Exotic Hides into Exotic Leather.
3) Now, with the Exotic Leather Belt Recipe learned. Buy as many Neatsfoot Oil from the Outfitter Merchant, as you have Exotic Leather. (IE 50 Exotic Leather, 50 Neatsfoot oil)
4) Now turn those into the Exotic Leather Belt.
5) Now with Runecrafting, break all of these down for mats.
6) Sell the mats! (You can make 25p-100p a day with this, if you gather for 1-2 hours. More if you get faster at gathering and getting a spawn rotation.)

Platinum to make Platinum!

1) Go to your auction house and buy a few stacks of Exotic Hide or Exotic Leather. (On my server the both sell for about 1p a stack of 50)
2) Go back to your Manufactory and process these Exotic Hides into Exotic Leather. (If you need to.)
(I can spend 20p on mats and turn it into 100p-400p a day!)

So there you have it. It may look like it takes time to get it going, cuz it does. But, once you do get it going. It works wonders. I have been able to buy the Guild I run, all of their level 50 mounts and what we call "Congrats Gear"! I buy them 3 epic pieces of gear from the auction house when someone hits 50. I have been doing this since about day 5 and made a killing. I have had to make a new account, to sell more again cuz I was starting to get hate mail in game about how I was controlling the market. So I still sell with the original character. But, all the people said they wouldnt buy my mats still buy from me, on a different account.

I know have a total of 8200p (as of today 5/2/2011) on my MAIN! And I can gaurantee I have spent more than that in mounts/gear/consumables/random stuff already in game. I have 2 accounts: 2 on my Main account and 4 on my other. Each alt has 500p on them (as of today 5/2/2011). You can do this. And it is easy, it just takes some time. but, you can get there.

Some useful TIPS:

TIP: Be VERY mindful when selling mats. Research your auction house. Make sure you are getting the biggest bang for your buck. Sometimes, 10 Kinetic Charges will be selling for 2p, when 10 Kinetic Bursts are selling for 4p. The Kinetic Charge sale is better, as you can break the Kinetic Bursts down into Kinetic Charges and sell more stacks of 10. Make sure you are doing this for Kinetic, Sentience and Perpetual.

TIP: Do NOT flood the market! If you do, you will get a spike of others trying to steal your "thunder"! Stay small and sell many over time!

TIP: Do NOT tell friends you have a ton of Platinum. They will start to watch what you sell on the auction house and start as well!

New Rift Steal Farming Spot In Game

after the 1.1 Patch, stealthfarming in Charmer's Couldron isn't worth the time anymore (just one Twilight Bloom Node accessible)

But in Abyssal Precipice nothing really changed.
There are up to 5 easy nodes (Ore, Wood and Plant).
you can harvest _all_ nodes, except the ones after the first boss (wall)!
One run takes ~5 min.
i do this on non-expert (as far as i know, spawns differ per mode, at least this was happening in cauldron)

Run out, reset, rinse and repeat - profit.

After 5 resets, and the "cannot reset" message. Just log out and in again, this Exploit still works.

be aware, that stealth got nerfed, don't stand to close to a mob... learned this the hard way

Pics:
straight way to the first boss

Image
First node, nothing special, just watch the paroling riptide

Image
Second node, sap the first of this stone like mobs, and watch the pat

Image
Third node, just grab, nothing can ever happen there

Image
Near the first Boss, just avoid running into him, again 2 easy nodes

Image
Last 2 nodes, right after the first boss. there aren't any mobs or whatever, so these two are the easiest here

EDIT:
finally found a way to get the last node:

Image
on the way back out again, walk the green line, so the wolf will recognize you, wake up and he will walk a little to the left. sap the marked mob, loot the node

Decent-Good farming spot.

So, been here off and on for awhile and have finally come up with something worth contributing to rift, a decent little spot that VERY few people actually farm.

The spot is Crown Hill in Stillmoor. What you're killing is all of the undeads/mathosian. I normally pull 3-6 of them as a Melee Cleric (Shaman) and AOE them down, normally netting me 5-7 Spellspun, a couple random grays, and the odd green with the ocasional blue popping up.

In about 30 minutes I ended up farming 200 Spellspun Silk, which on my server is 3.5-4 Plat, so that alone got me 14 plat min, + selling all the greys (which will be random, but so far It always ends up near the same amount) got me another 2 plat, and selling the greens got me 2 plat (vendored the blue as well, was lazy and it was a shit blue endurance peice).

So all in all, I'm making about 18 plat Minimum every 30 or less farming this spot, the respawns are VERY good, again I was pulling a minimum of 3 mobs and ALWAYS had another 8+ on screen to kill as I worked circles around the place.

Cheers, and have fun making easy monies .

The mobs are level 47-50 btw.

Farm Orichalcum, Shadethorn and Twilight Bloom

This is both an exploit and a guide, I'll start off with the guide portion of this.

This guide requires:
You play a Rogue
You have a 31 point Assassin build for "Improved Stealth" and "Slip Away".
You have an 8 point Nightblade build for "Lost Hope".
Access to the following Instances: "Charmer's Caldera" (in Shimmersand) or "Abyssal Precipice" (in Iron Pine Peak).

My Example Assassin/Nightblade Build

This guide takes from the same concept of old stealth farming methods in World of Warcraft: Sneak around the mobs that can be easily avoided, crowd control those that are in your way. Abyssal Precipice and Charmer's Caldera are the only places to get these three types of materials. I do not have a youtube account, nor any knowledge of video recording/editing so I will use my limited knowledge of taking screenshots and Paint to, well... draw you a picture. Here is my farming rotation for Charmer's Caldera.

Enter Charmer's Caldera, stealth up and move passed the first set of 3-4 mobs and cross the first rock bridge. As you are passing it you will notice a Magma Elemental heading your way, use "Incapacitate" and keep moving along. Will you then approach this area:

You will then use "Lost Hope" to ranged CC the second Magma elemental.

Point A is an Orichalcum spawn point: Hide behind the rock to mine it.
Point B is a Shadethorn spawn point: Stay behind the same rock and gather it.
Point C is a Twilight Bloom spawn point: Move behind the rock and gather it, use your Incapacitate if you need to on the raptor closest to it if you're afraid it will aggro you.

Once you have gathered any spawns, continue on to this next area:

re-CC the elemental if it comes near you.
Point A is either a Shadethorn or Twilight Bloom spawn point: Move behind the rock near it to gather it.
Point B is a Shadethorn spawn: Move behind the rock to gather it.

Once you have gathered from those two potential spawns, move to the third and final area:

There are two very important things to note in this area:
1. As long as the hounds and imps are fighting the humanoid mobs, you can walk next to them and gather without any aggro, as long as you stealth up before the humanoid dies.
2. There are two wandering Magma Elementals in this screenshot, be careful. The first is in the top left-hand corner of the screenshot, the next is inside of a wall to the right of Point B.

Point A is a Twilight Bloom spawn. As stated, you can walk up next to the mobs and gather it without aggro as long as the humanoid is still alive.
Point B is a Shadethorn spawn. Wait until the Magma Elemental has come out of the way and started to fight the nearest pack of mobs, then gather it.
Point C is an Orichalcum spawn. Move to the right side of the rock to gather it.

Once that is done, head to the entrance, zone out and reset. Rinse, repeat. Use Slip Away to vanish anytime you might get aggro.

You may ask yourself, "Where is the exploit?". After 5 resets you will get the following message.

"Cannot reset your map instances yet."

At this point, log your character out to the character selection screen and log back in. Voila! You then right click to reset your instance and your instance resets will go back to 5 until you have to do it again.

Enjoy your farming, as this will be fixed in the first patch coming out soon. They are going to make it so all gathering nodes spawn passed the first bosses in these two dungeons, which are blocked off by invisible walls.

Instant Respawn Kingswood Node

There are a few nodes in the game where the node instantly re-spawns as soon as you gather it. While I have found a few I will only be posting one (see if you guys can find more!).

Shimmersand (6513, 6770) | Kingswood (rarely Mahogany).
Average 2 Kingswood per gather; 5sec cast time + lat; ~28-30 stacks an hour (@ 50 a stack)

Only tested on one shard so I would appreciate if others could check it out to see if they get the same results!
I believe I know why some nodes appear to do this but I am sure this will be fixed quickly anyway.
Anyways... enjoy.
